Jacob, here. I am the lead craftsman at W.B. Designs. For years, I have been developing a hybrid woodworking skillset. This involves partnering power and hand tool work to create precise joints that ultimately turn rough lumber into heirloom furniture. Amongst my designs, you will find a blend of contemporary and mid-century modern. This mixture stems from an interest in how both styles compliment each other.

As a child, I watched my father, a carpenter, complete projects around our home. I couldn’t help but find myself in the hustle and bustle of helping with each step. This soon led to me becoming a young adult and finding projects of my own that dad and I could build together; anything from night stands to custom car consoles. As I grew older, I was able to find my niche in the woodworking community and really hone in on the types of builds that I was most interested in. Now, I find myself excited to tell my dad about each step of whatever customer piece I am working on at the time. Isn’t it amazing how the cycle of life works?

By now, you’re probably curious about W.B. My son, William Bryce, is the primary reason that I take part in this craft. I want to teach my son to find an interest, be passionate about it, and become the best he can be at it through hard work and dedication.
